Global business leader with a track record of creating and driving successful brand merchandising strategies. A consumer-centric brand leader in the fashion and consumer goods space. Operational expertise in both front and back of house (for retailers and brands) in terms of driving growth with profit and purpose.
Laura has spent over 30 years as a global apparel, accessory and home retail business leader. Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and America, she has led merchandising, inventory planning, new product and re-branding initiatives for some of the world’s leading retail consumer goods brands like DFS Group Ltd (division of LVMH), Burberry, and Polo Ralph Lauren.
Laura left her last corporate role as President of Accessories for Polo Ralph Lauren to focus on helping other brands grow profitably in a 21st century business eco-system driven by consumer connectivity, disruption and radical transparency. Laura has been called a ‘gift with purchase’ by one of her previous clients – bringing conventional business skills that delivered operational results along with a set of soft skills that enabled the company to move from problem space to solution space faster and more efficiently.
Most recently, Laura along with two other retail C-Suite businesswomen, created WHYZ Partners, a bespoke advisory company. WHYZ offers today’s retailers and brands a combination of hands-on operational and financial experience along with a high touch approach and soft skills like active listening, empathy and collaboration.
As an industry connector and advisor, Laura is committed to helping brands transform and achieve scalable growth. She is an advocate for companies that believe in a triple bottom line business approach (profit, people, planet) and is honored and humbled to be one of the founding authors of Conscious Capitalism Press.
